Nature of Business:
Rates re-set in the 2024-2034 Long Term Plan (LTP).
Reason for Emergency Meeting:
The emergency meeting is called in accordance with LGA Schedule 7, Clause 22A(1)-(2) in that the business to be dealt with requires a meeting to be held at a time earlier than what is allowed by the notice requirements for an extraordinary meeting. Being an emergency meeting does not affect Council’s ability to make a decision. All meetings of Council and its committees are open to the public except where the provisions of Section 48 of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 apply.
